Moshiach, even to the committed and learned Jew, is still largely in the sphere of the unknown.

There is much mystery about the coming of Moshiach because it is an event that has never happened even once in the past. No person has ever been there. And in spite of all of the information provided in the Torah, the Talmud and other Jewish sources, there is still a large gap in understanding as to what exactly will occur.

Added to this is the fact that most people who have devoted their lives to Torah study have spent very little time analyzing the material that does exist concerning Moshiach. The fear of the unknown can easily be remedied by learning about Moshiach. Indeed, learning about Moshiach from the authoritative sources will relieve one's anxieties for several reasons:

Firstly, fear derives from a lack of knowledge and familiarity with a given subject. Accurate knowledge of the subject will, therefore, take Moshiach out of the realm of the unknown.

In addition, knowing about Moshiach will help to dispel the distortions, which abound regarding the subject.
