"When Moshiach arrives will I have to sell my spacious suburban home, uproot myself and move into a crowded condominium or the like in Jerusalem and its environs? Sure, I love to visit Israel, but, to imagine myself living there, that is a different story."

Before answering this question specifically, we must preface the response with a discussion of what Moshiach's objective is. In short, Moshiach is going to make the world more complete. Therefore, anything that will make us feel uncomfortable will obviously not happen. Anything that will "squeeze" us, either physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually will not exist in the age of Geulah.

Accordingly our spacious suburban homes will be taken along with us to Israel, especially if they were used for Torah study and other Jewish functions, and permeated with good deeds.1 How this will be accomplished is still a mystery which our finite minds cannot yet comprehend. What we have to know is that all of the best things we have now will go along with us. All of the rubbish, undesirable, depressing objects, experiences and attitudes we will dump into the sea, so to speak, on our way to Israel. Once we are there, things will only improve and change for the better.2
